John T. Fratantaro, formerly of Croydon, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 10, 2011, at Langhorne Gardens Nursing Home. He was 91.

He was born in Philadelphia to the late Jennie (Del-Rossi) and Salvatore Fratantaro.

John was a proud graduate of Roman Catholic Class of 1939 and also a member of the Alumni Association.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.

John was employed at Bond Bread and later Abbott's Dairies.

He was an avid Eagles and Phillies fan. John also volunteered at Lower Bucks Hospital for the past 11 years.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Peggie (Lydon), his two brothers, Edward and Joseph, two sisters, Rose and Anita, his grandson, Michael Drisch and his son-in-law, Martin Vacante. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Marguerite and William Drisch of Williamstown, N.J., Patricia and Andrew Amoroso of Levittown, Barbara Vacante of Philadelphia, John and Stefanie Fratantaro of Levittown and Kathleen and Gerard Ott of Chalfont. John was Pop Pop to 14 grandchildren, he was known as Two Pop to his 26 great-grandchildren and three great-great granddaughters.

The family would like to thank the staff at Legacy Garden, Langhorne Garden and Compassionate Care for caring for our Dad.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass Friday 11 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 601 Bristol Pike, Croydon, Pa. 19021, where friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass. Rite of Committal will follow at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery in Langhorne.

Memorial contributions in his name may be made to Roman Catholic High School, 301 N. Broad St., Philadelphia, PA 19107.
