John E. Thornhill, age 79, of Morrisville, passed away Thursday, November 22, 2007 at home surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Philadelphia, he was a resident of Morrisville for a year and a half, formerly a resident of Bristol Township for 57 years. John was employed as a Maintenance worker with Crown Cork and Seal, retiring in 1993 after 15 years of service. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Naval Reserve. John was a communicant of St. Thomas Aquinas Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus Pius XII, Council #4765, 4th Degree Knight. Also a member of the St. Thomas Seniors and the Bensalem Seniors.

He will be sadly missed by his beloved wife of 60 years, Edna (nee McCloskey) Thornhill; one daughter, Edna Fowler and her husband William of Streetsboro, Ohio; one sister, Margaret Egan and her husband Bernie of Lindenwold, N.J.; three grandchildren, John, Steven, and Caroline Marie; also survived by eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 601 Bristol Pike, Croydon, Pa., 19021 where friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Interment Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem.
