Anthony J. Zito Anthony J. 'Tony' Zito passed away suddenly at his residence Friday, Nov. 9, 2012. He was 80.

Anthony was a proud communicant at St. Thomas Aquinas Church for 48 years, and a 4th degree of Knights of Columbus at St. Thomas.

Retired after 50 years at Royal Pioneer Box Co., Anthony enjoyed Frank Sinatra, jazz, pool, and the Philadelphia Phillies.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Ethel, he now joins her in heaven.

He is survived by his three loving children, Lillian Sadiwnyk (Steve), Carol Whitmore, and Thomas Zito (Brenda). His death will be mourned by his special grandchildren, Alice Smith (Martin), Brian Whitmore (Cathy), Jeffrey Whitmore, Dave Sadiwnyk, Eric Sadiwnyk, Gabriella Zito, and Nathan Zito; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Smith, Bryn Whitmore, and John Smith. Anthony also was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Amy Whitmore, and great-granddaughter, Victoria Smith. He was the dear brother of Joseph, Alfred, Larry, Alex, and the late Nicholas, Elizabeth and Lucy.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, and also Tuesday, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Burns Funeral Home, 9708 Frankford Ave., Philadelphia, followed by his funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. in St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
